Where to build a boat?
Our story begins at a secret location in the north-west of England
I first experienced the call of the sea when I joined my parents on a one-week yacht charter in Largs, Scotland. We sailed a Moody 31, we marvelled at the stunning scenery, we gazed in astonishment at the vivid bioluminescence, we "touched" a few rocks, the boat leaked, we learnt a lot! This introduction to cruising opened my eyes to the joys of watery adventures. Fast forward thirty years and I'm joining my parents on another sailing adventure, by building a yacht in their yard!
Now I have the plans, my first job is to prepare a boatshed.
With a little help from my friends
I will name my boat 'El Camino' because I am inspired by those that have journeyed before me.
